A full week below the horizon, designed around depth rather than speed.
The Journey
A week gives each part of the Danakil its own day: the volcano, the salt, the trade, the people and the geology of Dallol. The narrative of the week runs heat, volcano, salt, water, trade, people, geology.
Every extra day has a reason: a full day at Erta Ale, a full day in salt country and a dedicated Dallol geology day.

Operating subject to current access and conditions
The Danakil is a remote expedition environment. Our experienced local team makes these decisions with safety and the quality of the experience in mind.
